Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born and raised in Canada. She is well-known among Canadians because of her character as a Canadian actress in the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. Also, she appeared in Venevision television series Cosita linda e Voltea a' que te love. Her other talents include being an accomplished model as well as a dancer. She is a native of Montreal however, she grew up and attended school in Texas. Her passion for performing has been with her since childhood. Her training began in childhood in a number of various forms. When she was 15 years old was when she began competing in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia became famous after she won a spot on Nuestra Belleza Latina in 2008. In 2010 she played the receptionist for Telemundo television show Aurora. The actress starred in Tattooed Love (2015), an action-oriented film. Toubia's performance as Shadowhunter was praised by her fellow actors at the Teen Choice Awards in both the years 2017 and 2018, for her performance as the best actress on TV in Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
